Winter Reading 2026
Book lovers of all ages can participate in our Winter Reading Challenge. Sign up and log your progress at greenfieldlibrary.beanstack.org or pick up a reading log at the Adult Reference Desk or Children’s Desk. Read at least 15 minutes a day, five days a week to earn an entry (one entry per week) into our grand prize drawing. This year's drawing prizes will be:
- Narwhal Squishmallow
- Big foot Squishmallow
- $50 Target gift card
- $50 Starbucks gift card
- $50 Five Below gift card
- $50 Culvers gift card
- $50 GameStop gift card
Patrons who participate will also receive either a mug or a fidget toy (pictured below) at their first check-in.
Toniebox & Tonie Collection Updates
We’re excited to share some changes that will help eliminate staff maintenance time with Tonieboxes between checkouts — and give our young listeners even more to enjoy!
Until now, all 8 of our Tonieboxes came pre-loaded with 50+ Tonies. When a Toniebox was returned with issues, staff had to re-download all 50 titles — a time-consuming process that often kept the Toniebox out of circulation for several weeks.
To improve turnaround time and reduce downtime, we are introducing a new system:
- Three special Tonieboxes will now circulate with 6 pre-loaded Tonies each. These will not require Wi-Fi to play.
- All other Tonieboxes — including our two new Toniebox 2s — will no longer include pre-loaded Tonies. To use these models, patrons may need to connect to their home Wi-Fi in order to download and play Tonies.
Even better: we’re in the process of adding over 50 NEW Tonies to our collection, including several chapter books — perfect for growing readers!

AARP Tax Preparation Assistance
The AARP will be visiting the Greenfield Public Library again this year to assist people with tax preparation.
Appointments at Greenfield Public Library:
12:00-5:30 PM on Mondays, February 2nd - April 13th
Appointments are required and must be scheduled online at freetaxhelp.as.me beginning Monday, January 5th at 9:00 AM or in person during the scheduled tax assistance time.

American Girl Tea Party [Ages 5-12]
Monday, January 19, 2:00-4:00 PM
Bring your American Girl doll (or any other doll) for a special tea party on this day off school. We’ll have games, crafts, and treats for you and your doll. Geared toward ages 5-12, but all children are welcome!
