Alexander Hamilton: Immigrant, Patriot, Visionary Exhibit
Now until July 24th, visit the library for a pop-up panel exhibition that explores the founding era through the life of one of its most influential figures, Alexander Hamilton. As one of our country’s founding fathers, Hamilton played a central role in creating the economic, constitutional, social, journalistic, political, and foreign policy templates for modern America. Using reproductions from the Gilder Lehrman Collection, this traveling exhibition teaches viewers about Hamilton’s life as an immigrant, statesman, and innovative thinker whose work shaped the America we live in more than two hundred years after his death. This exhibit will be located on the second floor of the library.

Books to Check Out
Staff Recommendation

Emily and Anna recommend the novel, The Names by Florence Knapp:
Have you ever wondered how life could have differed based on one single choice? Well then this may be the book for you! This story follows a family through three alternate paths their lives could have taken. Each path is based upon a different decision made at the same key moment. The author explores each path during specific periods in the family members' lives. We found that the combined plot and author's writing style created a suspenseful novel that kept you intrigued and shocked throughout. Further, the author creates three stories that all work together to show that one moment in life can impact the future. Please note that this book contains potentially triggering themes, including abusive relationships, sexual assault, and death.
