Teen Volunteer Orientation [Ages 13-18]

Tuesday, October 14, 6:00-7:00 PM


Are you a teen interested in volunteering in the library? This is your first step! Come in to hear about our new volunteer program and fill out your volunteer application! Bring your hours sheet when you attend, this will be worth one hour of volunteer time with us!

Teen Painting Swap [Ages 13-18]

Thursday, October 16, 6:00-7:00 PM


Come join us for a fun night of painting as we swap canvases to make a unique masterpiece! Paint and swap you canvas with the person next to you and add whatever you can think of until time is up! All supplies and tools will be provided. Registration is required. Space is limited, and registration will open one week before the program at 10:00 AM. Registration will close when the program is full. This program is co-sponsored by the Southwest Suburban Health Department.

Storytime at Bluemel's [0-5]

Friday, October 17, 10:00-10:30 AM
 
Join Ms. Hanna for a special fall story time outside at Bluemel’s! We’ll read books, sing songs, and have a craft to take home. Order a yummy drink, a snack, and enjoy this special program! No registration required.

Used Book Sale

Saturday, October 18, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM & Sunday, October 19, 1:00-5:00 PM

 

Stock up on all the hottest books at our used book sale. All proceeds will fund library programs and services.

Frankenstuffies [All Ages]

Thursday, October 23, 6:30-7:30 PM


Make your own stuffed animal creation at Frankenstuffies! You can bring a damaged stuffed animal and bring it back to life or use our stuffed animals to make something totally new! All supplies and tools will be provided. Registration is required. Space is limited, and registration will open one week before the program at 10:00AM. Registration will close when the program is full.

Paranormal Wisconsin with Allison Jornlin

Thursday, October 30, 6:30-7:30 PM


To get in the spirit this Halloween, we will be featuring Fortean speaker Allison Jornlin! Allison has an extensive career in paranormal research and tours (American Ghost Walks), and she is full to the brim with interesting and spooky stories about Wisconsin!

November Program

Author Visit: Max Brallier – The Last Kids on Earth and the Destructor's Lair [All Ages]

New Date: Tuesday, November 11, from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

 

The Library has been eagerly anticipating this event, but due to an unexpected personal matter, Max Brallier will be unavailable on the originally scheduled date. We sincerely apologize for the last-minute change and any inconvenience it may cause.
